Alex Oliver

Insight & behaviour change

Alex has a first class honours degree from Bristol University and an MBA from INSEAD. She is an insight and strategy professional with many years of experience cutting across public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Alex spent the early years of her career in the private sector with international marketing and strategy roles in consultancy, media and financial services, including Paris based executive training consultancy StratX and ground breaking retail bank Egg plc.

In 2006 inspired by a desire to apply her experience and energy to drive positive social change, Alex moved to UK Government’s Cabinet Office where working closely with senior officials and Ministers, she led a cross-government team to embed customer-centred design principles at the heart of policy making. Alex later moved to global consultancy The Futures Company (formerly Henley Centre in the UK), where she managed the public sector team as a UK board director and headed up projects for a wide range of government clients, including Department of Health, Ministry of Justice, Department for Education and Defra. She also co-led think tank the IIPS (Institute for Insight in Public Services), co-sponsored with social research agency TNS BMRB, where she was a frequent platform speaker on topics including opportunities for increased corporate engagement in the ‘Big Society’.

An insight and behaviour change specialist, Alex consults with C&E on a wide range of client projects, including major cross-sector collaboration engagements for Cancer Research UK, Barclays, UNICEF, Tesco and others.   

Half Argentinian, Alex is fluent in French and Spanish.
